Jbaby is in compliance with the guidelines recommended by the ASRM, an industry trade group, in qualifying our egg donors and surrogates, providing you with a greater likelihood of better outcomes. Equally important, we treat your egg donors and surrogates with the same level of respect and support that we provide to you, our Intended Parents.

Rather, Jbaby offers highly individualized, one-on-one service from a streamlined operation consisting of a team of kind, compassionate and committed professionals who you will come to know and trust over time.

We believe that by keeping our staff lean and focused on a limited number of journeys, we offer the greatest possibility for you to have an amazing and unforgettable experience with your surrogate.

Crystal-Clear Transparent Pricing

Jbaby offers a very simple, honest and transparent Flat Fee Structure that is designed to alleviate the uncertainty and stress around understanding the cost of your surrogacy journey. Believing that knowledge is power, with our assistance you will have the benefit of seeing exactly where and how your dollar will be spent before committing to working with our agency.

Many agencies offer a “package” price or “guarantee” that looks good on paper, but in reality is just a smokescreen for charging additional fees. At Jbaby, we don’t play those games. We never upcharge for ancillary professional services that are the customary part of the surrogacy journey. And we review with you every line item fee and expense that may be incurred in your surrogacy journey so that you are empowered with the confidence and expertise to choose the agency that is right for you.

Don’t take our word for it. Expedited Matching to Your Preferences/Expedited Medical Clearance

At Jbaby, one size does NOT fit all. The qualities that you might want in a surrogate may not be the same as another Intended Parent. And this is as it should be! Jbaby does not pigeonhole you into limiting your selection of a surrogate to those who are already in the agency pipeline. Uniquely, Jbaby offers the option of recruiting a surrogate based on qualities that you deem to be important to you. If, for example, you want a surrogate who lives in a specific state, we will do our best to find her via our proprietary recruitment process. 

You shouldn’t have to wait a year or more to be matched with your ideal surrogate. At Jbaby, if we can’t match you with a surrogate that meets with your approval within 3–6 months, your deposit is fully refundable, no questions asked. 

Because we are small and nimble, we can also expedite the process of having your donor medically cleared. We do this by speeding up the medical records review process, onboarding your selected clinic as soon as those records have been cleared, and scheduling the surrogate’s medical exam as soon as the clinic’s schedule allows.

When all is said and done, we realize that choosing a surrogacy agency is a deeply personal decision. About Kenji & Michael

Kenji Saito and Michael Lacoe, partners in life and business, founded Jbaby in 2012 to help LGBTQ+ individuals and couples navigate the complexities of egg donation and surrogacy. What began as a mission to connect Intended Parents with hard-to-find Japanese egg donors has grown into a full-service agency providing expert, concierge-level support for every step of the journey.

For Kenji and Michael, this work is deeply personal. Their two sons, Elijah and Luca, were born with the help of an egg donor and a surrogate—an experience that has profoundly influenced the Jbaby business model. As their agency has grown and evolved, the guiding principles have been shaped by one overriding question: How can we create a better product and, hence, a better experience for our Intended Parents?
